Online Marketing

People have jobs and go through them daily hating it the whole way. Of course, this does not ring true for everyone. The mindset in most workplaces is, to get to the top and move the job to the next level. Most “driven” people approach life like the Indy 500, speeding along- all without realizing that they have been going around in circles in someone else’s race.

They are on this fast track, making all the right moves, following the correct steps… asking themselves later, “Have I made a real difference?” I don’t know who said this but I have done this and I am sure others can relate when “people can make great time going in the wrong direction.” Seriously, if you can relate to that, pull over, check your directions and ask -

  • whats important to me now
  • what impact do I want to have
  • what do I need to enjoy “my journey” onlineIndianapolis 500

Whats Important Now

Through life’s detours and side trip’s, people end up in places or positions much different from the original background or educational training they got. Think about your own experiences, really. From the time you were in high school, you said to your self or to others what you wanted to be “when you grow up”. right? Then as time went on your mind changed or life just told you where to go and who to be. So over the course of your “career” you have upgraded your skills and knowledge with different things – now instead of a basic model with standard OEM equipment, you operate like a high performance race machine, well rounded. Not necessarily loving who you become or even wanting to learn what life threw at you. So how the heck do you decide what is important to you? I am in that process and the first thing I am doing is seeing what are the guiding principles I want to drive my decisions and behaviors. I always tend to think of other people in my life that I have admired and looked up to. People who, without thought, motivated me to be a better person and do the job right. For you, try to visualize three people who you admire most. Then figure out what values or characteristics that grabbed you about them. Are they living by those values, are you living by those values? Man, so whats the point to all this… I really just lost what I was trying to say. That is my problem… no focus.

Ok, try again.

Consider what happens when a car’s tires are out of balance. Not only do you and your friends get a bumpy ride but the tires wear unevenly which knocks the crap out of alignment. Maybe sometimes you noticed times that you were out of balance with what you valued most. Like were you careless at maintaining your personal relationships, gym time, your biz, your daily tasks for your blogs, or just your focus? All that results in a burnout, failed relationships(which i am seeing more lately) or health probs. So I advise to reset your odometer, which is what I did with this blog and my life. I want to determine how to achieve “significance”. Part three of this “journey” will continue where I will go into how to get that and do a “diagnostic” my way. Getting into the areas of “purpose”, “intellectual stimulation”, emotional equilibrium” and your “physical” state…
