Pay Per Click

Google SlapSo it has come to my dismay that Google pounded its mallet down on me the other day with that dreaded email stating that “you suck and can no longer advertise with us”. It has also come to my attention that it is truly a rare deal that people get reinstated back.

They are banning these accounts with very little information other then a plain email that says that your account has been banned.

I have seen a slew of people in forums asking “what did I do?”, ” how can I get my account back?” etc… I have also seen quit a bit of people within and using certain marketing systems that are getting banned as well. I am currently in one of these types of programs… There are also people getting banned doing clickbank offers, CPA offers, anyone using these replicated websites for mlm businesses, just having poor landing pages, having multiple Adwords accounts…etc. Even if you are guilty by association… If you have ever or had anyone log into a shady or banned Google Adwords account from your IP address,  you run the risk of having your account banned because Google targets all Google Adwords accounts that have ever been accessed by that same IP address.

The huge problem with these emails is that they don’t tell anyone why they have been banned.  I know calling or emailing these people is just a huge a waste of time (like watching a Brittney Spears movie), although when I emailed them they responded within a couple days with, what it looked like, a copy and pasted email with still no explanation.

Now, I have been combing the internet to figure out how to create and open another Google Adwords account. It isn’t that hard to open a new Adwords account, but it does require a bit of work.

1. Change your computers IP address

2. Get a new IP address with your ISP

3. Open a new Adwords account under a new name and new credit card with a different name and address (i.e. best friend? Or hope that they are a best friend!)

With the above being said, it appears that affiliate marketing on Google Adwords is dying a slow death and pay per click marketers need to start evolving their businesses outside of Google Adwords.  Also exploring other PPC traffic courses such as Yahoo, MSN, 7Search, MIVA etc…

Google represents just a small fraction of the traffic available online. I have started moving my advertising dollars elsewhere.

I have been working heavily expanding out with other pay per click search engines traffic sources for the last week.

It appears that they don’t give a crap.

I can understand Google Adword’s wanting to give their users a “good user experience”, but the manner in which they are offending their advertisers who have helped build their company is astonishing.

Google should simple work with their customers to clean up poor practices and would probably keep a lot of the loyalty from advertisers.

All good things come to an end.

When Google runs into hard times, they won’t regret the policies they put into place, but rather the manner in which they treated their advertisers when implementing them.
